Synaptics WiFi®/Bluetooth® Combo chipsets and system solutions provide the technology to make wireless local area and personal area networking a reality. Providing radio frequency, baseband, system and complete software support to OEMs and system integrators, Synaptics WiFi®/Bluetooth® Combo chips enable the wireless sharing of electronic devices, from smart mobile devices, wireless stereo speakers to tablets, PCs, gaming systems, home entertainment solutions and automobiles.

In this unique position you will function as a firmware engineer involved with the technologies Bluetooth Firmware Solutions.

Responsibilities

Specific duties include:

• Working closely with system, SW and FW engineering to participate in feature development.
• Debug issues with the system, SW and FW team members that are reported by internal SVT or external customers.
• Working with tier 1 customers directly or indirectly to understand their requests, abstract generic resolutions, design and deliver a solution to meet or exceed customer’s expectations.
• Enjoy working with the brightest, creative, results-oriented, and fun-filled engineers.
  

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Typically requires a BSCS/BSEE (8+) or MSCS/MSEE degree (5+) years of related experience.
• Proficient in the use of the C or C++ programming language, ARM assembly is a plus.
• Embedded firmware development experience is a must.
• Bluetooth wireless technology experience is highly desirable.
• Practical experience in Bluetooth protocols is highly desirable.
• Good at Linux device driver and user application.
• Work experience in Android/Linux/FreeRTOS is a plus.
• Experiences with UART, I2S, I2C and SPI is a plus.
• An in-depth understanding of WiFi/BT coexistence is a plus.
• Team player and excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills.
