Summary

The Platform Debug lead will address server platform level matters including whatever Supermicro integrates into a total solution. In this role, he/she will conduct and coordinate the debug efforts of a program to ensure the maximum debug throughput is achieved and to reduce shipment on-hold time. The Platform Debug lead will be responsible for driving improvements in the debug process working with internal/external engineering resource

Job included but not limited to:

• Conduct complex debug efforts for internal/external findings to identify root cause and resolution.

• Ensure issues are solved on time with quality and urgency.

• Monitor and track technical issues, risks and priorities.

• Coordinate internal/external resources to expedite the debug progress and to facilitate product delivery.

• Establish debug program indicators to address major roadblocks and drive changes to improve debug throughput and outcome

• Establish and improve the debug process based on the program learnings and optimizations. .

Requirements

• 20+ years or more of experience in roles involving debugging HW, FW, SW and OS issues.

• A thorough understanding of PC industry standard interfaces and their software stack, such as PCIe.

• Strong knowledge of X86 architecture, PC platform design and Power management.

• Good understanding of PC platform hierarchy and of interactions between any two layers.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills.

• Highly organized, able to prioritize, and manipulate multiple work streams to tight deadlines

• Demonstrable experience in Technical program management.
