Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in image/signal processing, computer vision, computational imaging, machine learning, or artificial intelligence.
- Experience in programming in C or C++.
- PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with design, debugging, performance, and quality improvement of computational photography algorithms.
- Experience in SIMD, GPU, Halide, or DSP programming in mobile environments.
- Experience in color science or subjective image quality assessment.
- Expertise in computational photography algorithm, recurrent/convolutional neural network, or ISP (3A and image restoration/enhancement algorithms) development.
- Excellent communication skills.

You will work on core algorithms in the Android camera platform to improve the photography and cinematography experience. This covers both improvements of the image quality and creating computational photography features. You will develop the end-to-end solution, including algorithm design, implementation, quality evaluation, performance optimization to the final deployment. You will work with software engineers, hardware engineers, researchers, and image scientists across Google to push the performance of the mobile imaging system, commercialize features, and develop the architecture for products.

Responsibilities
- Develop innovative algorithms to improve image and video quality and improve user experience.
- Optimize and integrate the solution into Google products and services.
- Collaborate with the hardware team to design the pipeline architecture to enable new features.
- Improve the robustness and quality of the algorithms.
- Work with several teams across multiple sites.
