Location:100% Remote

Pay:Up to $70/hr.

Length:6-12 month contract (possible extension)

Overview:

Client is seeking a Software Application Developer to join our IT Group. This position will allow the successful candidate to work with many different development tools, development languages, and applications for a profitable growing company. The successful candidate will be responsible for development in Amazon Web Services, JavaScript/node.js, support of existing applications, building interfaces, etc.

A Day In The Life Could Include:

• Work with Business Analyst and technical resources to define application development requirements
• Provide accurate estimates for development work
• Collaborate with team members in the areas of systems development and system support
• Provide recommendations to improve functional, technical, and architectural designs
• Proactively share knowledge on potential improvements to business and/or technology processes
  
  

What You Will Need To Bring With You:

(experience & Education Required)

• 2 years experience with object-oriented programming
• 2 years experience with SQL
• Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving ability
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to prioritize, organize and coordinate simultaneous tasks/projects
• Able to work with software vendors to solve application issues
• Provide recommendations to improve functional, technical, & architectural design
• 2 years experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Lambda
• 1 year experience with AWS SNS/SQS/API Gateway
• 1 year experience with AWS S3
• 1 year experience with AWS DynamoDB (or other NoSQL Database)
• 2 years experience with JavaScript and Node.js
• 2 years experience with asynchronous JavaScript (Callbacks, Promise, async/await)
• 2 years experience with web application development (HTML, CSS, AJAX)
  
  

What Will Put You Ahead:

• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) (CloudFormation, EC2, VPC, Route53, and ElasticSearch, etc.)
• Experience with JavaScript technologies (Angular, React, jQuery, etc.)
• Experience with Typescript, Serverless Framework, and Docker
• Experience with OpenAPI and SwaggerHub
• Experience with API Design & Specification
• Knowledge of Weblogic, Tomcat, or other application servers
• Ability to create effective application test plans that include use cases, regression tests, unit tests, and performance tests
• Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, etc.)
