The Role

The Program Management Manager is a new role to assist in developing program governance coordination and assisting in the successful planning & execution of projects(s) from start to finish. Your involvement will be substantial within AMD’s OEM/ODM programs or internal programs as a representative or focal point of CE (Customer Engineering) customer engineering support team for graphics related program management and delivery.

Ways For You To Stand Out From The Crowd

• Good communication, presentation and leadership skills; with ability to lead technical discussions in English & Chinese
• Experience presenting to and influencing senior technical and business leaders
• Time management: ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proven experience in horizontal leadership. Agile and adaptable to changing business requirements
• Experience working in a multi-site, multi-cultural environment and ability to travel as needed
• Excellent communication and evangelizing skills with an entrepreneurial spirit to drive team results
• Ability to up level status or “asks” to executive management.
• Working with a cross-national team as team player with passion to dig in and to do whatever it takes for business success
• A high degree of professionalism and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
• Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with customers in both verbally and writing, status, issues, technical concepts
• Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities, capable of identifying risk early in the project.
• Have a vision to plan, lead and execute programs or initiatives.
  

Key Responsibilities

• Manage customers’ program from platform basis and deliver program on time
• Work with internal cross functional team to ensure product quality and comply with process of platform program
• Closely work with internal to make sure whole platform of HW/SW delivery status on track, otherwise work out mitigation plan for any delay or gaps.
• Closely track with subject matter specialists, document owner, or tool owner making sure support material readiness status as planned.
• Strong technical background and problem-solving skill is a plus. Foreseeing industry trend, competitor strength, and customers expectation will be desired.
  

Preferred Experience

• Working experience in the OEM/ODM program management field and familiar with DT and Workstation business will be a plus.
• Proven track record of driving cross-functional team members with interpersonal skills to achieve mutually acceptable solution for any problem on hand.
• Understanding of regional and global markets and cultures.
• Possess the sense of urgency to proactively implement creative but effective solutions with agility to timely deliver above and beyond expectations especially on cross functional related issues.
  

Academic Credentials

Bachelor’s or above degree in engineering will be preferred.
