General Summary

Develops, implements and improves processes, methods, time standards, capacity plans, operation sequence, equipment, tools, and production line layouts in the manufacture of parts and assemblies. Collaborates with design engineering to improve product designs for manufacturing. Creates and maintains documentation and reporting systems for manufacturing activities.

The Responsibilities Of This Role Include

• Working under close supervision.
• Taking responsibility for own work and making decisions with limited impact; impact of decisions is readily apparent; errors made typically only impact timeline (i.e., require additional time to correct).
• Using verbal and written communication skills to convey basic, routine factual information about day-to-day activities to others who are fully knowledgeable in the subject area.
• Completing most tasks with multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; some planning and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively; mistakes may result in some rework.
• Exercising some creativity to troubleshoot technical problems or deal with novel circumstances.
• Using deductive problem solving to solve moderately complex problems; most problems have defined processes of diagnosis/detection; some limited data analysis may be required.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Provides limited Design for Manufacturing (DFM) input to product design teams during engineering development to meet product cost, quality, and reliability requirements, usually working with a more senior engineer; applies knowledge of a limited variety of part or assembly types.
• Participates in prototyping and experiments to evaluate manufacturability and feasibility of new product designs or technology. Collects data, analyzes results, and works with project team or a more senior engineer to provide recommendations for product designs, technology capability, and equipment requirements.
• Provides input to the creation of new production lines for a limited variety of assembly types or within a specialized field. Participates in the designs and optimization of factory or production line layouts, process flows, and work station layouts.
• Establishes new processes and assembly methods based on knowledge of ergonomics, human factors, industry best practices, or equipment capability. Demonstrates capability of specifying, evaluating, recommending, and implementing low complexity equipment, tools, and fixtures.
• Understands and applies fundamental knowledge of time standards and capacity modeling. May use models to forecast production output or resource requirements. May be involved with product costing or make-buy decisions.
• Creates procedures, process specifications, and work instructions. Understands the usage and capabilities of relevant IT systems within manufacturing.
• Contributes to process improvements by applying a limited variety of techniques (i.e., Six Sigma, LEAN) to improve process capability, cost, and quality.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

Project experience of big data analysis, machine learning is a MUST.

Basic understanding of Digital, Analog Circuit design.

Basic understanding of Semiconductor fundamental knowledge.

Good programming skills of VB, C++, Python programming.

Good knowledge of statistics.

Fluent in English and Mandarin, both spoken and written.

Proactive working attitude.

Capable to handle new challenge.

Preferred Qualifications

Good communication and presentation skills.

Basic knowledge of semiconductor supply chain.

Basic knowledge of design for test, design for manufacturing, design for experiment.

Basic knowledge of foundry process, assembly process, and test programming.

Education Requirements

Preferred Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
