Job Overview

Procurement is the part of supply chain and plays a key role of all the activities in associated with company spends.

Procurement in SHL is included the direct(raw material) and indirect categories, shoould be responsible for supplier management, sourcing strtegy, price negotiation, contract management as well as the purhcase managment

Main Responsibilities

I. Work out the tactical plans regarding strategy and market status

a. Initiate the execution plans to achieve the project goals in associated with procurement strategies

b. Lead the procurement team for strategy implementation by reviewing the performance and providing guidance

c. Keep high sensibility of market movement in terms of prices, supply, industry status to timely adjust project plans

II.Deal with challenges and solve problems

a. Support team in dealing with challenges of supplier negotiations for prices and contracts as well as all the activites in related with KPIs

b. Understand project status, analysis key factors and provide ideas for solutions when team faces difficluties or challenges

c. Help team to seek for resources in order for running on-track to align with project objectives and timelines

III. Cross-functional communication and cooperation

a. Attend the key discussions across stakeholders to make a balance agreement to both sides for the most benefits to company

b. Conduct the communications with cross-functional departments to find the common ground for works

c. Deal with conflicts with stakeholders for team to ensure project movemenets on track

d. Build good relationship with stakeholders by well communication and cooperations

IV. Supplier relationship management to support business growth

a. Lead team to maintain the good communication and relationship with suppliers

b. Host the S&OP meeting with key suppliers to obtain the best supports from suppliers whatever aspects.

c. Work out the short/long term procurement strategy by share the business strategies each other

d. Optimize the supplier resources to support business growth by new opportunities

V. Leadership and talet development

a. Coach team members in building the procurement functional skills

b. Verify talent and give proper development plans

c. Train skill sets of procurement by assinged projects and learning from operations

Skills and Qualification

·Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related, Engineering is a plus, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

·Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in purchasing/commodity management (direct & indirect are preferred )and highly regulated environment

·Minimum 5 years in the people management position, with direct lead of 3 or above. Able to drive changes, further develop staffs with coaching and transparent instructions.

·Minimum 2 years working with purchasing/SAP related system.

·Strong experience in negotiating terms in purchasing agreements. In depth experience in contract management.

·Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.

·Highly respect for job commitment, discipline and integrity

·Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.

·Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.

·Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

·Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.

·Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.

·Car drive license is necessary
