Job Overview

We are looking for a PLM Senior Engineer to join our well-established Business Applications Team in Taiwan.

This position focuses on maintenance, rollouts, and optimization of the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems – Siemens Teamcenter and Polarion.

The PLM Senior Engineer will report to the PLM Application Manager located in our Switzerland office and work closely with the Global PLM Business Process Owners.

Our PLM users are situated across our global offices in Taiwan, Europe, and US, thereby providing an international working environment and combines know-how and experience from different cultures.

Main Responsibilities

· Able to understand Business requirements (process definitions or functional specifications), and translate them into technical solution (Design/Configuration specification or Proof of Concept)

· Perform application administration, issues resolutions, manage user needs

· Maintain the PLM organizational structure within Teamcenter & Polarion for all user accounts, groups, roles, and administration - regular monitoring of licenses

· Work in an agile environment with regular and frequent release trains to implement new modules, features and functionalities to the PLM system, including Integration with other enterprise-level systems and processes.

· Report and escalate potential issues to key stakeholders to mitigate impact to business operations.

Skills and Qualification

· Prior knowledge in PLM/PDM implementation

· Working Knowledge of PLM concepts - especially Project Management, Change Management, Bill of Material and Bill of Process

· Knowledge of Teamcenter configuration/customization, especially with Teamcenter Active Workspace

· Knowledge with Polarion - Requirements & Risk Management

· Experience with CAD Integrations - Solidworks & NX preferably

· Programming languages to provide solutions for system integrations - C, C++, XML, PLMXML, Teamcenter ITK, Teamcenter SOA Services, BMIDE, SQL

· Experience in designing and implementing Customized Forms, Workflows in Teamcenter

· Knowledge on the IT Support processes - first (troubleshooting the issue, identify the log files etc.) and second level support (provide solutions to issues that involve data correction, administrative actions etc., without changing the system configuration / behaviour).

· Knowledge of operating Business critical applications in a regulated industry would be an added advantage.

· Good listener and readiness of mind to understand the business and handle problems with a strong service orientation.

· Detail-oriented mindset, strong analytical ability, solution-driven and self-starter attitude, team player.

· Communicate effectively with colleagues in Taiwan, Europe and US. In other words, interested in working in an international environment.

· Proficient in communication both oral and written, using English and Mandarin Chinese.
