The Role

The Plant Operations Manager is responsible and accountable for the overall manufacturing operations of a designated plant by focusing on safety, service, quality, and agility through supervision of staff and process improvements. In the beginning, this person will also lead the project as well.

In this role you will

• Align Global Operations expectations (quality/service, costs, responsiveness, asset management) with operations by product lines;
• Lead and participate in global initiatives and contribute to the strategic direction of Global Operations and participates in the execution;
• Partner with Business Unit leadership; proactively aligns operational plans and initiatives with business strategies
• Operate plant(s) in accordance with EH&S requirements;
• Ensure compliance with legal and environmental safety standards;
• Develop and manage work structure and provides efficient work flow;
• Track and know status of delivery performance;
• Manage factory resources for sufficient capacity to achieve required production volumes;
• Assure ongoing improvement in product quality as measured by CAR’s, QN’s and audit results;
• Manage and develop high performing operations management team;
• Establish performance measures and hold managers accountable;
• Conduct performance reviews and provide opportunities for training;
• Establish a continuous improvement environment as guiding operational culture;
• Cultivates a culture of commitment to safety excellence while ensuring responsible and disciplined operations within the plant. Ensures compliance with legal and environmental safety standards.
• Coach and mentor staff on Lean Sigma tools;
• Implement the appropriate measures (metrics/SCOR) to drive continuous improvement;
• Implement best practices and acquire appropriate technology;
• Provide full support to product managers on product roadmaps and manufacturing issues;
• Represent operations group within Entegris to those who impact the manufacturing process (Sales, CS, Product Management, Engineering, etc.);
• Act as Operations manufacturing representative in developing and execute BCP program for manufacturing operation;
• Represent Plant(s) to the parties outside of Entegris such as customers, suppliers, government, and local community.
• Act as an engineer to lead the ADM phase 2 project.
  
  

Traits we believe make a strong candidate

• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering;
• +10 years of experience in operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of equipment that supports chemical synthesis or distillation
• 8-10 years of experience in people management
• Demonstrated success in plant manufacturing management;
• Supervisory multiple departments & cross functional team;
• 5S & Lean Manufacturing;
• Excellent communication, planning, organization, and leadership skills;
• Oversea travel
