About The Role

Uber Eats Taiwan is a strategically important and successful market for Uber Eats globally. The Marketplace team reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for managing real-time efficiency of the marketplace, diagnosing marketplace health at the geo-level, launching new products and capabilities, and driving the growth and profitability for the business. We are looking for a passionate and committed Operations Manager to own the end-to-end experience of our marketplace, strategize and execute pricing initiatives, and enable our platform through its next phase of growth.

What You’ll Be

• Accountable for the smooth operations of the marketplace and superior experience for end users. That means delivering on our promise to deliver any order on time, at any time.
• An expert in marketplace levers. The go-to person that can clearly explain how different metrics influence each other, the trade-offs, and the right balance for each of our markets.
• An influential and important cross-functional partner to the many teams that do not directly sit in the same team as you, but are critical to the successful execution of your plan, including Delivery Partners, Consumers, Sales, Finance, Product, Customer Support and many more.
• A competent, decisive, and optimistic team player with potential to be a future leader that can rally many teams and stakeholders to achieve a shared vision.
  

What You’ll Do

• Manage internal systems and tools to adjust levers that influence the marketplace. Optimize the experience for all sides of the marketplace, balancing reliability and efficiency.
• Define critical metrics and analyze sophisticated data to drive key business decisions. Report findings to senior leadership to define long-term strategy.
• Evaluate and align product launch prioritization with both local and regional stakeholders. Own end-to-end execution of product rollouts.
• Maintain a pulse on the industry landscape to constantly assess threats and opportunities, as well as document and communicate market intelligence.
• Engage with regional and cross-functional team members to surface and implement best practices. Actively maintain communications with a broad stakeholder base.
  

What You’ll Need / Bonus Points

• 3+ years of work experience, including time spent in operational roles.
• Communication: Mandarin fluency. English proficiency. Clear and concise in both spoken and written communication.
• Data-driven: Exceptional Excel and data management skills. Able to establish measurable goals and derive insights from data to inform action plans. SQL is a plus.
• Detail-oriented: Able to keep track of multiple workstreams and evolving requests from external and internal stakeholders. Provide quality work despite issue complexity.
• Agile and nimble: Able to respond to new or urgent requests by assessing their priority and responding accordingly. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
• Stakeholder management: Able to understand and balance the needs of external and internal stakeholders and find common grounds.
