Role ProfileReference Data & Analytics is part of the Investment Solutions of Data & Analytics. The Reference Data & Analytics team is a client focused, technology enabled team, producing high value & unique analytics & data derivations to drive insight and value to our internal and external stakeholders. Reference Data & Analytics is responsible for creating LSEG Intellectual Property by generating ICB Classifications, Free Float and similar data fields based on data standardization from raw data.
We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Asset Data Analyst in our Equity Analytics team. Reporting to a Director within the Data and Analytics division, the Analyst will quickly develop the skills to work with key stakeholders and programmers to develop a broad set of multi-asset data solutions, primarily owning the cleansing and maintenance of issuer mappings between fixed income and equity instruments. The right candidate will become involved in specifying and testing mapping solutions, and will work with programmers to successfully implement the same on the production database.

Creation and Maintenance of High Quality Fundamental Factors
- Create & document methodologies behind mappings in conjunction with research and external clients
- Specify requirements and collaborate closely with Technology on implementation of analytics
- Test output of data derivations ensuring accuracy of calculations
- Enable mapping solutions to access a variety of internal and external content set
- Create and monitor quality control checks on multi-asset solutions, as well as workflow to identify issues
- Ensuring high quality, complete derived data content is accessible for use in index builds and other products, by way of detailed historical data reviews and cleansing (15+ years history).
- Assisting in the production of regular reports and new product development in data and technology segments to support index & analytics multi-asset solutions
- Produce data visualizations and data quality reports to management and stakeholders
- Clear documentation of technical requirements around analytics to ensure smooth implementation in partnership with technology
- Deliver clear and accurate analysis to facilitate stakeholder discussions.
- Build trust with stakeholders by consistently understanding and fulfilling stakeholder requests in an accurate, timely and professional manner.
- Continuously adopt a pragmatic, flexible and responsive approach.
- Create robust and repeatable processes to continuously deliver high quality output
- Suggest change and innovation to enhance current methods of working
- Working with teams in multiple locations simultaneously, in an iterative and collaborative manner
- Maintain constructive and supportive working relationships with stakeholders across the group
- Works independently effectively with minimal direction to deliver against targets
- Demonstrate and practice adherence to LSEG internal controls and standards in data management, and document management and production (e.g. keeping appropriate records, following LSEG processes and using mandated tools, etc.).
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles, and fundamental and valuation analysis
- Demonstrated experience with market data, including procedures of corporate action treatments, currency changes & common market identifiers
- Demonstrated experience with security & issuer resolution, ownership structures, and changes over time due to M&A
- Solid understanding of data management theories with 3-5 years practical experience, including managing and monitoring data from common third party vendors (eg Refinitiv, Bloomberg or Factset)
- Excellent computer literacy, including advanced knowledge of the MS Office suite of products, 1 or 2 programming languages (R, Python), Strong database querying language (SQL) and a willingness and skill to learn new tools quickly
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to work within a team
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Experience with SAP, PowerBI, Python, and BAW
