Application support, Marketing Support and Sales Assist:
- To identify and engage with key customer accounts, both current and potential to define current and future analytical requirements.
- To provide strategic technical input into the appraisal process of business opportunities in Taiwan.
- Creat and follow up new enquires promptly and efficiently.
- To support the direct sales team and distributors by conducting customer demonstrations of AFM products, providing techincal expertise, pre-sales experimental consultation, sales support and customer sample analysis.
- Establishes and maintains a distributor partner training and development program. Adjusts program to meet the needs of distributor partners and market conditions consisitent with the long-term goals of the company.
- Carry out customer demonstrations, workshops/ seminars and /or produce applications reports for customers.
- To collaborate and provide technical input to the sales and marketing teams ot assist manage the programme of promotions activities across the territory including workshops, seminars, attendance at key conferences and exhibitions as well as digital campaigns on social media.
- To manage demonstration and loan sotck installed at both customers and distributors ensuring that targets are met for depreciateion and utilisation.
- To support the achievement of budgeted sales ( value and volume ), product mix;and to develop relationships by supporting distributores and customers i order to facilitate increased sales.
- Maintain good customer and distributor relationships, providing regular contact and developing self as technical "go to person" within the industry and projecting a professional and competent image of Oxford Instruments and its products at all times.
- Develop new applications and techniques and author technical notes, application notes, and /or scientific journal articles.
- Present new application developments and data at worldwide conferences and workshops, webinars and internal meetings.
- Help continually imporve product hardware and software by suggesting new features and by reporting bugs or user interface issues.
- Maintain an accurate and up to date contact database using Infor CRM.
- Manage the programme of promotions activities across the territory including workshops, seminars, attendance at key conferences and exhibitions.
- Participate in training and development activities as required.
- Operate at all times in accordance with health and safety at work legislation.
- Undertake any other tasks or responsibilities in line with the scope and level of responsibility of the role, which might reasonably be required.
- Communicate with customers and distributor partners in a timely manner concerning the status of applicaton issues.
- Promote a positive image of Oxford Instruments in all communications with customers and distributors, whether in person, by telephone or in writing.
- Ensure taht all visits are properly prepared. This preparation should include liaison with distributors.
- Advice cutomers on the availablity of Oxford Instruments instrumentation related options, upgrades, support contracts, and other service products. Ensure that the customer is kept up to date with latest product information.
- Maintain and develop knowledge of assigned products and their common applications, undertaking appropriate training where necessary.
- Assist in knowledge transfer by training customers and other company employees when required.
- Maintain awareness of, and minimise where possible, the level of expense incurred in day to day support activities, both in terms of time involved and parts consumed.
- Perform work safely at all times, maintaining an up to date knowledge of health & Safety requiremetns and operating in accordance with htealth and safety at work legislation.
- Participate in training and development activities as required.
- Understae any other tasks or responsibilites in line with the scope and level of responsibility of the post, which might resonably be required.
- Reports to Taiwan Sales Manager
- Works closely with sales team and management.
- Works closely with cutomers.
- Works closely with HQ and Regional Marketing Teams.
Education:
- Advanced Degredd in Physics, Chemistry, or Material Science is required. PhD desirable.
- Must have at least 5 years experience of working with AFM.
- Good understanding of the part applications and methods play in the sales of the AFM products.
- Good understaning of customer requirements and how to use equipment to best effect to demonstrate this. Ability to demonstrate AFM operation is essential.
- Organised, with solid administrative/ reporting skills and proficient PC skills including MS Office.
- Must be prepared and able to travel and stay overseas as required without restriction, subject to normal visa requirements.
- Proficient PC skills including MS Office.
- Fluent in Chinese and Englis ( spoken and written )
- Clean driving licence
