Job Description
The Digital Partnership & Solution role are under Taiwan Product team who is responsible for leading Visa’s efforts in Taiwan to bring new digital payment solutions and digital experiences to life, through our clients and digital partners. We are looking for someone to work closely with digital platform partners, fintech companies, and other fintech organizations to identify partnership and commercial opportunities for Visa and/or our clients.
What a Head of Digital Partnership & Solutions does at Visa:
Based in Taipei, the Head of Digital Partnerships & Solutions will be responsible for identifying and implementing business development opportunities with startups, fintechs, large digital players and Financial Institutions in Taiwan.
This is an externally facing role, and we are looking for someone who can champion Visa’s public innovation agenda, develop commercial partnerships, and foster relationships with growing Fintech partners. You will also work closely with our colleagues in the Regional Digital Partnerships team (based in Singapore) to coordinate and align on engagement plans, strategies and objectives.
The role requires an experienced sales and/or business development professional who can identify potential opportunities, develop the tactics and manage the teams needed to bring them to fruition, including developing in product strategy all major phases, go-to-market planning, and implementation. We are looking for someone who has proven experience in executing partnership agreements and complex, strategic commercial arrangements. We are committed to establishing Visa as the preferred payments partner of the fintech community, so - above all - you must be passionate about contributing to Visa’s innovation agenda.
- Seek out new commercial opportunities with traditional and non-traditional partners
- Work with Regional counterparts to develop the overall fintech engagement strategy
- Identify strategic opportunities for Visa capabilities through a strong understanding of the business needs of Visa and our clients.
- Pursue partnership opportunities where Visa and/or clients’ needs can be met
- Continuously review the market landscape, identifying and developing partnership or acquisition opportunities that will position Visa as the market leader in payments.
- Ownership of the end-to-end relationship for key digital partnerships, ensuring that that there is alignment across Visa on key proposals.
- Lead the development, negotiation and signing of proposals by working with various internal stakeholders and relationships with strategic partner executives
- Provide new value to clients by introducing start-ups and Fintech that are aligned to their strategies and objectives
- Capturing capability requirements of fintechs and feeding them into Visa’s global product/solution roadmap
Why this is important to Visa
The Head of Digital Partnership & Solutions will be accountable for a big part of Visa non-FI revenue target for Taiwan and will own a list of key Digital Partner / Fintech accounts in Taiwan. The individual will be in a unique position to shape & influence Visa’s approach to these fast-growth segments and establish a long-term roadmap that will guide our Digital Partnership strategy in the future.
Qualifications
What you will need:
- Unfailing passion and belief in the transformative power of technology in the world
- 12+ years of working experience, including 6+ years of experience in product management, project management, Fintechs, Bigtecks and/or management consulting
- Strong project management skills and business acumen – ability to influence strategy while driving tactical program execution
- Proven track records in Product and Solutions selling and implementation experience to internal stakeholders or external clients
- Proven track records of high performance and recognized as a subject matter expert in business areas or products
- Possess significant functional knowledge, including technical development, marketing, sales, legal, etc.
- Creativity and resourcefulness to overcome unexpected roadblocks
- Experience in contracts and negotiation
- Willingness to travel internationally. Role will include domestic and international travel for merchant calls, conferences and client meetings
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- An ability to juggle multiple priorities, providing high quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment
- A high level of comfort working in a complex and often ambiguous environment
- A willingness to learn and the ability to partner, communicate and manage/navigate through multiple
- Above all, the candidate will need to be a highly motivated self-starter, with a can-do attitude and ability to collaborate
- Proficient in English presentation, negotiation, and socialization across key stakeholders
- Working experience in MNC would be a plus
- Understanding of Visa business and organization
- Working experiences in digital or Fintech companies and projects would also be a plus
- A demonstrated interest in fintech, with a passion for how technology is shaping the future of money movement services
- Experience in commercial partnerships
All client facing projects that driving revenue under consumer products and solutions
- Fintech sector analysis
- Developing account plans for fintech partners
- Managing the relationships within our digital partners, and within Visa (including cross functional team members) to ensure successful partnership outcomes
- Programs focused on the delivery of agreed partnership opportunities, typically across several markets
- Client pitches, presentations, and business reviews
