This position is responsible for long and short term capacity planning for multiple golf ball factories. This position manages a team of individuals located at multiple manufacturing sites who in turn coordinate day to day manufacturing activity in support of TaylorMade’s global business requirements. In addition, factory level personnel is responsible for the procurement of key Bill of Material requirements. This role is responsible for providing updated capacity utilization targets that support business levels while optimizing individual site efficiencies. This individual is responsible for establishing factory performance KPIs to ensure manufacturing and shipment schedules support commercial team expectations. (OTTP, Led Time, Efficiencies, Factory Utilization)

Essential Functions And Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with factory Ops teams defining monthly and multiyear capacity strategies for all Ball Manufacturing sites under TaylorMade’s scope of control
  • Coordinates with site Scheduling Managers to align operational objectives (target volumes, inventory levels, raw material safeties)
  • Sets operating objectives and KPIs to manage performance and foster improvement (OTTP, lead times, target manufacturing CPUs)
  • Works closely with Purchasing team to expedite material flow as required (expediting of specific SKUs through manufacturing pipeline)
  • Collaborates with Purchasing and Engineering team to ensure new product ramp ups achieve Go-To-Market objectives for all products
  • Tracks short- and long-term flow of key raw materials, reconciles a minimum of 6 months coverage versus capacity plans
  • Aggregates reporting to capture relevant KPIs and overall working inventories from multiple sites
  • Responsible for the tracking and reporting of factory WIP levels. Product and inventory value.
Knowledge And Skills Requirements
  • Experience managing tactical level material planning processes (MRP)
  • Experience managing factory scheduling activity via internal Work Orders and or Purchase orders
  • Works with regional Material Planning teams on the scheduling and promising of custom golf ball models (Stock and E-Comm channels)
  • Project management experience involving product development and process improvements
  • Highly analytical mindset able to translate large amounts of data into compelling solutions or business cases
  • Experienced crafting and presenting information to Executive-level personnel inside and outside the company
  • Highly organized and able to track and manage multiple-parallel priorities
  • Able to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption
Education, Work Experience, And Professional Certifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience with key responsibilities described within; preferably in a global enterprise involving dynamic consumer market with annual product life cycles
  • APICS certification desired
  • Project Management, Green belt Six Sigma or similar certifications are a plus
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
  • Normal office conditions
  • Factory environment, light manufacturing exposure
  • Heavy phone and computer usage
  • Ability to work extended hours as necessary
  • Occasional international travel required
  • Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials
