Isola, an industry leader in global materials sciences whose mission is to improve life by enabling innovation in electronic products, is hiring a Global Supplier Quality Engineer base in our Plant at Taoyuan , Taiwan location.

THE ROLE

This position involves communicating and working directly with material suppliers, the supply chain management group, R&D, Scale-Up Engineering (R&D Operations), the analytical labs (JSL), and TPM team. Focus will be to evaluate current and alternative raw material suppliers to reduce overall cost and advance the technology of Isola’s materials, while maintaining the quality of Isola’s products.

Briefly KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Leverage knowledge of chemical and thermal analysis tools
• Review raw material specifications and work with suppliers to achieve the best specifications for raw materials.
• Ensure that end-product and end-user requirements are incorporated into evaluation programs
• Participate in NPI & coordinate early suppliers’ engagement
• Ensure quality deliverables & supply chain requirements are met as planned
• Plan & conduct supplier audits
• Work with suppliers on timely completion of corrective actions
• Provide periodic updates to supply chain management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry or a bachelor’s in chemical engineering
• 4+ years’ experience preferably inthe electronic glass, copper for CCL/PCB manufacturing
• Proven understanding of supply chain processes & supplier development
• Strong laboratory practices and documentation skill.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with the Microsoft tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong communication skills
• Self-starter, able to work with little to no supervision.
• Good English, can use English as working language .
