Position:

Battery storage market is booming and NHOA is positioning to become a leader in the market. Declining lithium-ion battery prices, increasing solar PV installations and electric vehicles development are many factors driving the battery market in Taiwan and ASIA.

This role, as part of the Global Project Delivery team, drives effective NHOA project delivery across Asia especially in Taiwan.

We seek a person passionately committed to a sustainable energy future who will actively support the business development team in converting business opportunities in Taiwan and Asia and lead delivery of a large-scale battery energy storage project once in execution.

As Project Manager you will be the primary contact for the client where matters of overall operations and work performance are concerned. You shall maintain close liaison with their counterparts in the project team and attempt to identify problem areas in time to secure corrective action without affecting either the project budget or schedule.

The successful candidate shall be an experienced Project Manager, familiar with EPC contracts, industry general practices and technologies, and with a proven record of planning and managing large-scale projects on time and within the budget. He/She will be based in Taipei and available to travel to project site based on project needs.

Task and Duties:
  • Foster effective and collaborative relationships with clients and contractors
  • Support the business development team during the tendering process
  • Serve as point-of-contact for the Client during the project execution.
  • Ensuring that the project is brought to a successful completion and meets the required time, budget quality and project specifications;
  • Prepare, update and report project management plan, cost budget, project schedule, project receivables and contract completion milestones. Provide progress reports and other status updates to client and management as required.
  • Manage contract requirements, risks and issues, and develop risk response strategy and plans as required.
  • Lead and steer project engineering, purchasing, logistics and subcontracting activities.
  • Participate in customer meetings and negotiations. Establish and maintain excellent customer relationships.
  • Apply Project Management best practices.
  • Day to day management of the project and the project team;
  • Coordination and direction for all contract preparations and issues
  • Manage the suppliers, the General Contractor and key project stakeholders;
  • Promote safety awareness and safe performance among all team members and commit to the overall responsibility for Safety, Health and Environment compliance to the Contract.
  • Implementation of the QHSE program to ensure all work is in compliance with the Contract, applicable law and highest safety standard
  • Manage the permitting (application for permits and licenses, etc…) and the construction of the Project
  • Planning the projects in detail and defining the development plan of the orders, coordinating the assigned human resources;
Requirements:

Your Background:
  • 7 - 10 years’ experience in industry or energy project management with track record of success in EPC project. We favour experienced profiles with previous experiences in renewables (experience in energy storage system will be view favourably)
  • Working experience in several of the following areas: Coordination of large sized EPC projects, construction laws, labour laws, health and safety regulations, grid codes, contract negotiation, project control and finance, scheduling, progress measurement, risk assessment, change management, estimating process and planning, electronic document file management…
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6
  • Fluent in Chinese and English (spoken and written) ; An other language is a plus (Italian).
  • PMP® certification will be advantageous
