Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with power system design.
• 6 years of experience in bidding, designing, operating, and commissioning of electrical distribution systems.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree and Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
• Knowledge of software packages for design and analysis of electrical power systems.
• Knowledge of protection and control systems.
• Knowledge of mechanical and control systems and of large-scale data centers’ electrical infrastructure systems.
• Ability to work in teams and a matrix organization.
• Ability to travel 25% to 50% of the time.

You’re a visionary who optimizes for efficiencies and never stops seeking improvements -- even small changes that can make a huge impact. You generate ideas, communicate recommendations to senior-level executives and drive implementation alongside facilities technicians.

With your technical expertise, you ensure compliance with codes and standards, develop infrastructure improvements and serve as an expert in your specialty (e.g., cooling, electrical).

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be involved in the development of complex electrical infrastructure products, from concept design to green field construction implementation, along with the major modification of existing infrastructures on global capital projects.

You will provide and prepare all types of documents including specifications, concept designs, drawing markups, factory test documents, final startup and commissioning reports, statement of work (SOW) files that result in procurement drawings, and the review and acceptance of both as-builts and submittals.

Responsibilities

• Provide, lead, and coordinate responsibility for data center infrastructure product designs, and understand and develop direct current electrical designs.
• Manage all power system issues during concept design, detailed design, procurement, bidding, manufacturing, delivery, and installation on site. Identify and resolve issues.
• Generate SOWs for the equipment portions of major infrastructure upgrades based on project needs. Work with internal teams to update and document the configurations as they evolve and to deliver the right electrical solutions.
• Be responsible for vendor quality assurance/quality control, and successful product delivery per internal/external design and equipment standards.
• Provide cross-discipline collaboration and an understanding of interrelated issues. Update and maintain the internal design specifications, drawings, and standards to the latest configurations and requirements.
