The EE/HW Design Manager will be based in Taiwan Taipei Wugu Site. The EE/HW Design Manager performs the responsibility for leading an Electrical Engineering team that will design and build exciting, innovative products with a world class team.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

• Successfully manage an Electrical Engineering team for Server & Storage device.
• Provide strategic as well as tactical contributions to the conceptual and detailed design and a variety of devices and provide leadership to the Design teams as well as the other disciplines associated with the productizing of Server & Storage products.
• Be considered as an expert in his or her technical field as well as having a proven track record of success regarding team leadership and motivation, business negotiations, program management, budgeting responsibilities and overall program ownership.
• Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the significance of time to market, risk mitigation, contingency plans, return on investment, etc.

Here is some of what you’ll need:

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field. Prefer MS or PhD in Engineering.
• 10+ years of related experience in developing and supporting Server & Storage products.
• At least 5 years of people management experience.
• In-depth knowledge of the EE domain.
• Demonstrated leadership in working through complex problems in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Demonstrated experience in integrating with cross functional groups including manufacturing, test, reliability, quality, sourcing, ID and compliance.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, communication and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated competencies in customer focused innovation, technical excellence, strategic insight, impact and influence across a product group or beyond, and passion for quality.
  
  

Here are a few of our preferred experiences:

• Excellent communication skills, leadership, people management, program management skills, self-motivation and the ability to successfully deal with ambiguity are a must.
• Direct and recent experience in Server & Storage product development, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and a successful history of working with Industrial Design and Marketing is a plus.
• A general knowledge of electrical engineering methodologies and tools, Pro Engineer, tooling, File documentation protocol, Bill of Material Structuring and related file management tools is a requirement.
• The candidate must have actively participated in the management of design, documentation and qualification of Server & Storage product within the last few years.
• Good communication in English. TOEIC score up to 750.
