About the role

ALP, an innovative company specializing in logistic property development. We are dedicated to high-quality solutions that help our clients to achieve their business objectives.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Director to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying and pursuing new clients and business opportunities, fast developing and maintaining client relationships, and developing strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in business development and a deep understanding of the industry.

You will work closely with the Business Development Head and group CEO/COO, assisting in developing business strategies, and solutions, and engaging key accounts to achieve sales targets and growth.

Job Responsibilities

What you’ll do

  • You’ll plan and deliver comprehensive sales strategies, explore new market segments, and expand business portfolios with existing clients in short and limited timeline.
  • You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams such as construction, information technology, and automation team to bring the ALP’s suite of smart logistic warehouses and services to markets
  • You’ll work closely with the various companies within the ALP group to bring the total intergrated logistic solution to the client, including logistic real estate, third-party logistics, transportation, pallet rental, etc.
  • You’ll establish long-term relationships with potential clients with the view to enhancing business opportunities and bringing the innovative product/solution to the mainstream market
  • You’ll engage in contract negotiations and pricing strategies to maximize the profitability of the Company and deliver the sales target
  • You’ll assist in the improvement of current sale processes, workforce capability, and build a high-performance team to drive the sale revenue target by day to day operation.
  • You’ll assist in managing and deploying departmental budgets and costs according to annual allocation to ensure efficient usage of resources

Requirements

  • Multi-aspect development, able to work with a diverse set of skills (strategic, technical, and sales).
  • Strong number skills, problem-solving, critical thinking, coaching, interpersonal skills, and communication skills.

Essential and Functional Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and third-party logistic service sales developement supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Experienced with the workings of cross-functional departments, coordination, and communication.
  • Project management ability to plan for and keep track of multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Exceptional oral & written communication of Mandarin and English; other language accessibility in the SEA region will be a plus.
