The Role

This role is responsible for leading the Global Applications Engineering group for the Wet Etch & Cleans SBU within the Microcontamination Control Division. They will direct application methods development and testing in support of a broad range of new liquid filtration and purification products used in fabrication of semiconductors. The ideal leader is an excellent communicator who has semiconductor fab experience, has proven successful as an Applications Engineer or similar role, has demonstrated skill developing their team, and has desire to grow and lead an international team in solving challenging problems as part of a broader organization.

In this role you will

• Lead a Global Applications Engineering team to meet goals for business success and customer satisfaction

• Collaborate with customers and partners to understand and develop new processes and technologies; feed implications back into the organization to guide strategy and development plans

• Work closely with New Product Development and Product Management functions to ensure product requirements are well-defined based on intimate understanding of customer challenges and realized though specific application testing and method development to mimic on-wafer performance

• Coach and develop direct reports in their role as project leaders and team leaders to drive ambiguous points to clarity while providing actionable recommendations to deliver on complex, difficult, and sometimes under-defined goals

• Champion Entegris thought leadership by participating in conferences and publishing technical papers, either self or by supporting team members

• Demonstrated skill of providing customer-oriented technical support

• Experience in semiconductor processes, specifically in wet cleaning processes, is desired

• Ability to convey ideas and conclusions with data a must; candidates should have a solid understanding of statistics, SPC, DOEs, and familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies

• Ability to travel (domestic & international) 15-25% of the time

• MS or PhD in related technical discipline (Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science) is preferred, 10+ years of relevant experience

• Multi-cultural experience, in particular with US, Japan, and Korea is preferred

• Fluent in English
