Introduction to the job

Satellite D&E team is mainly responsible for mechanical, electrical, software and mechatronics issue and provide the decent solution to external and internal customers.

As a Wilton DUV RH Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE), you play a critical and important linking pin between WLT DE and suppliers, your responsibility is to plan and organize a smooth break-in to suppliers for each engineering change process.

During engineering change and review process, you need to review the design changes, offer design feedback to D&E, assess the impact/risk to supply chain and facilitate the introduction with respect to People/Product/Process/Production tool/Production facility/Procedure (so called 6P plan) to suppliers, and feedback the break-in issue and solution proposals back to WLT DE and PL.

Being a decent bridge to eliminate the technical/non-technical gap between WLT DE/project and suppliers.

Role And Responsibilities

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, your responsibility includes:

• Lead DUV RH design change introduction process (break- in) to ensure no disturbance to suppliers and supply chain.
• Align and interface frequently with WLT DE, LF ME/PE and PLM for smooth break-in for WLT projects.
• Create introduction work plans per People / Product / Process / Production tool / Production facility and procedures (6P plan) with assistance from PL/DE in WLT and PLM/ME in TW.
• Review Engineering Change (EC) and facilitate PGP/KD process, and TAS/PER wow accordingly to ensure there’s no impact to suppliers.
• Communicate upward and downward on regular basis to eliminate the communication gap.
• Understand proper escalation paths to appropriate stakeholders and acts accordingly.
• Have capability of issue intake and issue quality sanity check in technical for further explaining to WLT stakeholders.
• Able to assess and address technical risk for each engineering change based on input from suppliers to WLT DE/PL
• Flexibility for international travel and facilitator night calls is required.
  

Education And Experience

• Bachelor/ Master Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 3+ years work experience in supplier management is must
• Work experience in Electrical / Electronica Design is preferred
  

Skills

• Result driven-demonstrate ownership and accountability.
• Work independently or as part of a team and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with manager, co-workers and customers
• Strong technical writing and communication skills in English, including presenting results based on strong statistical evidence to audiences of a wide range of technical abilities.
