Local Unit & Position Description

We are seeking a Chief Accountant for two legal entities located in Taiwan, based in New Taipei City.

Management Role

• Lead GSS FI Taiwan team.
• Be main point of contact person for Business Area, collaborate actively on financial/accounting/tax and legal matters
• Coordinate with GSS China Team for handling AR, AP, R2R operations
  

Accounting and reporting

• Responsible for Monthly & Yearly closing
• Generate management Report and Statutory report upon requirement.
• Have knowledge of the performance of the LE, incl top projects, EBITA, generally business performance.
• Support Management and the Business Areas as needed with additional management and analysis reporting
• Responsible for Value-added Tax filing & Corporate Income Tax filing
• Responsible for Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Reviews
• Responsible for external & internal Finance Audit.
• Responsible for external Tax Audit.
• Coordinating with Treasury team on cashflow management/cashflow issues
  

Statutory and Tax Compliance

• Acts as the main contact point towards Auditors & Officials.
• Responsible for compliance with all statutory reporting and compliance issues including Group accounting standards, International Accounting Standards, local GAAP
• Oversees tax rules compliance and supports tax reviews including but not limited to WHT ,VAT, CIT,
• Contribute knowledge from local practices
• Coordinating with Tax advisors and Regional Tax Manager for tax filing & Audit
• Sign off accounting records/financial statement in compliance with local requirements
• Reconcile annually legal entity reporting between IFRS and Local GAAP
• Ensure proper archiving in compliance with local regulation
• Highlight regulatory changes to the team where necessary for timely actions
  

Position Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• CPA is must, CTA is an advantage.
• Experience with a Professional Services Company preferred
• Knowledge of Oracle preferred.
• At least 10 year experience in similar positions or in General Accounting
• Computer skills
• Communication skills
• Analytical Mindset
• Proficient in English
