Role Description And Purpose

We have an excellent opportunity for a Multi Asset trader in our Taiwan office. Individual will be responsible for the day- to- day execution of orders identified by Portfolio Management on a variety of asset classes.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all delegated trades to offshore trading desks meet the regulatory and investment requirements for MAQS accounts
• Execute trade orders in a quick and reliable manner and follow up on completion of trade orders.
• Comply with the dealing desk procedure in terms of orders transmission, drive intelligent implementation of MAQS investment process within Taiwan
• Access and analysis financial market data and information to provide fund managers with relevant market information, such as price analysis, branding practice, market positioning and central banks interventions
• Apply risk management policies and implement best practices controls at transaction level, and communicate reportable events and take actions.
• Liaise with the middle office to ensure that the confirmation process is running smoothly and taking every action in order to sort out any discrepancy
• Assist new portfolios on boarding process by coordinating actions and documents between the brokers/counterparties, the custodian and internal departments
• Keep abreast of changes of relevant laws and regulations and understand its implications (portfolios, constraints, internal procedures)
• Verifies portfolio manager investment decisions to ensure compliance with local regulations and internal guidelines before execution of trading activities.
• Processes account openings and maintenance for new DIM accounts.
• Maintain and improve high quality of daily operation administration.

Role Requirements

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree or above from top level universities, major in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline coupled with excellent academic credentials.
• A minimum of 5 years trading experience on Equities, Fixed Income, Forex, and Derivatives preferred, while experience of Fixed Income and money market trading is a must
• Possessing SITCA relevant licesce is a must
• Strong computer skills, with advanced skills in Excel and Wind API.
• Ability to extract data from trading platforms.
• Formulate, analyze data and perform quantitative analysis from large data set.
• Strong culture of compliance and risk management.
• Knowledge of trade-related activities in Investment Trust Management and Discretionary Investment Management business including the legal and regulation requirement
