- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering specializing in Antenna, RF, Electromagnetics, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience designing Antenna system solutions for Consumer Electronics.
- Experience with Electromagnetic/circuit simulation (e.g., CST, HFSS, XFDTD, ADS), prototyping and optimizing antennas in portable wireless devices.
- Experience using wireless protocols (e.g., GSM/UMTS/CDMA/LTE, 802.11, Bluetooth).
- Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Antenna, RF or Electromagnetics.
- Experience using common RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, protocol and signaling testers) and antenna chambers.
- Experience with factory processes and manufacturing.
- Experience with board design, board bring-up and desense mitigation, with the Knowledge of schematic creation and PCB design tools.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., FCC, IC, CE) and their respective certification process, and cellular industry standards and specifications (e.g., CTIA, PTCRB, WiFi alliance).
- Knowledge of antenna manufacturing technologies such as stamped sheet metal, FPC and LDS for antennas.

As a Hardware Engineer, you design and build the systems that are the heart of the world’s largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. You develop from the lowest levels of circuit design to large system design and see those systems all the way through to high volume manufacturing. Your work has the potential to shape the machinery that goes into our cutting-edge data centers affecting millions of Google users.
With your technical expertise, you lead projects in multiple areas of expertise (i.e., engineering domains or systems) within a data center facility, including construction and equipment installation/troubleshooting/debugging with vendors.

Responsibilities
- Design, simulate, test and document the best solutions for antennas in high-volume manufactured wireless wearable devices to meet suitable antenna requirements, including, TRP, TIS, radiation pattern, return loss, and antenna efficiency in actual usage conditions.
- Perform trade-off studies between antenna performance, RF performance, regulatory compliance, mechanical constraints, industrial design intent, size, quality, cost and time constraints.
- Work closely in an interdisciplinary team to integrate the antenna design in the product, through the entire product life-cycle.
- Support factory related testing/issues at various production builds and execute OTA test plans to meet Wireless Carrier requirements. Support EMC and other regulatory testing related to wearable devices.
- Travel Internationally up to 20% of the time to support factory builds and tactical problem solving.
