• Master’s degree in Electromagnetics, Antenna and RF, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience in consumer electronics mass production.
• Experience in electromagnetics antenna simulation, active antenna matching and tuner circuit simulation, antenna and circuit co-simulation, and layout simulation.
• Experience with antenna impedance tuner and aperture tuner, and open-loop and close-loop antenna active tuning.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• PhD in Electromagnetics, Antenna and RF.
• Experience with schematic creation, PCB design and layout, and solid cross-functional knowledge in Product Design, RF, Electrical Engineering, desense, etc.
• Experience driving cross-functional collaboration and system level optimization for consumer electronics development.
• Ability to accurately predict antenna performance in builds and mass production with simulation.

As a Hardware Engineer, you design and build the systems that are the heart of the world’s largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. You develop from the lowest levels of circuit design to large system design and see those systems all the way through to high volume manufacturing. Your work has the potential to shape the machinery that goes into our cutting-edge data centers affecting millions of Google users.

With your technical expertise, you lead projects in multiple areas of expertise (i.e., engineering domains or systems) within a data center facility, including construction and equipment installation/troubleshooting/debugging with vendors.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world’s most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities

• Define antenna system architecture and develop antenna concept for Google Pixels and other mass production products. Help Google products to unlock Industry Design, achieve outstanding OTA performance, and provide industry leading user experiences to a massive number of Google users.
• Plan and define complex antenna system architecture together with ID, PD, RF and EE to enable product definition.
• Develop antenna concept for various wireless system including LTE, 5G NR and mmW, UWB, WIFI, BT and GNSS for Google Pixels for mass production.
• Understand Google business and industry. Investigate new antenna technology, propose project, drive cross-functional resources to mature the new technology, implement the technology for mass production to meet business goal.
• Explore and develop antenna architecture and design for product performance.
