Job Description:

We are looking for a UX Manager to join our VIVE team, and this position will report to CTO.

As the UX Manager, you are a great design team leader, manager, systems-level design thinker whom will identify and set product strategy, be responsible for delivering operational excellence—inspire teams to envision complex UX ecosystems and customized tooling for our B2B/ B2C customers.

We strive to learn and understand our users’ needs, behaviors, and emotions to gather insights that inform product strategy and design. You will take the time to understand not just the execution side of design, but the business aspects of the products as well, and elegantly simple user experiences from complex workflows.

In this role, you will work on collaborative teams to understand their business needs then solving complex challenges to craft and deliver experiences for our designers, developers, and end users that highlight our products’ unique capabilities.

The ideal candidate has experience in large-scale enterprise web and mobile products, leading cross-team initiatives, and partnering with PM and Engineering teams. You will be expected to understand and embrace complex technical problems and drive a vision to solve them with design.

  • Evaluate and identify the intersection of business needs, customer needs, and technical opportunities
  • Driving the overall program roadmap: helping teams define scope, milestones, and schedules, and coordinate release planning
  • Ability to manage expectations with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure that design objectives and priorities are aligned with goals and ensure they are brought into the process.
  • Helping to define the future design system and tooling that will enable our teams to deliver exceptional and maximize impact and user value.
  • Deliver a UX vision, along with a plan for evolutionary, push the boundaries of design beyond the "functional" to shape products that change people’s life.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship for product designers with creative and holistic thinking across design process, prototypes, platforms, and devices.
  • Basic qualifications:

    • Bachelor or above degree in Design, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Information Sciences, Psychology, Human Factors, Computer Science or related fields.
    • 7+ years in UX for full-service consumer or business applications for multiple platforms (web/ Android ) or content/ gaming related field.
    • 3+ years’ experience in leading design-oriented teams in a highly collaborative environment
    • Expert-level understanding of the user-centered design process and qualitative/ quantitative research methodologies.
    • Experience working on a product from inception to shipment.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in presentation, interpersonal, and analyze

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Familiar with both software (front-end web and mobile technology) and hardware knowledge
    • Design experience for large-scale enterprise-level solutions
    • Expert-level proficiency in at least one, ideally two, UX disciplines such as: Interaction Design, Information Architecture, Visual Design, Content Strategy, UX Research, or Product Design
