Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.
Purpose Of The Position
Talent Acquisition plays a very important role of Corning expansion and growth globally. This selected talent will have opportunity to:
- Ensures TA COE (Talent Acquisition Centre of excellence) programs, processes and policies directly support the attraction and indirectly support the retention of the number and type of talent required to execute against business strategy
- Ensures TA COE programs, processes and policies establish and reinforce Corning Values and positive work environment, while complying with all legal and regulatory requirements within the country
- Ensures TA COE key stakeholders fully understand the value, benefit, and use of TA COE programs, processes and policies
- Ensures standards and guidelines are understood and consistently applied
- Looking at cost effectiveness and continue to drive operational efficiency in Taiwan
- Understand the current market talent acquisition activities and look at suitability in implementing within Corning
- Leading important Asia project to drive innovation in talent experience and engagement
- Facilitate and leading yearly internship program in assisting Corning acquiring young talent
- Implements change management strategies that ensure successful implementation and ongoing use of TA COE programs, processes and policies
- Implements TA COE programs, processes and policies in compliance with current legal and regulatory policies and in direct or indirect support of Corning Values and positive work environment objectives
- Responsible for Asia based project and work closely with other TA Managers around the region to ensure operational excellence can be promoted and implemented
- Conducts periodic reviews and evaluations of TA COE programs, processes and policies and external market practices to identify opportunities for continuous improvement to better meet corporate, business, function and employee needs
- Assists in reporting on the performance and impact of TA COE programs and provides recommendations to ensure achievement of targeted results
- Develops and maintains subject matter expertise through independent research and participation in company / professional groups
- Responsible for yearly budgeting of Talent Acquisition program
- Identifies trends and enabling technologies that will improve ability to meet strategic objectives
- Collaborates with BUHR partners, business leaders, and other COEs to leverage their expertise to expedite integration of business-relevant COE programs, processes, policies and systems
- Builds TA COE reputation through value-added interactions with customers
- Working closely with Recruiting Process Outsourcing (RPO) supplier to ensure deliverables are well met
- Implements TA COE projects to cost, quality, delivery, and business impact expectations
- Educates customers about when and how to properly use TA COE programs, processes and policies Performance Metrics:
- Achievement of stated department KPI results and annual global business objective(cost, delivery, productivity, quality)
- Performance against TA COE budget
- Percent favorable response of clients to recruitment service quality, delivery, and business impact
- System and data integrity - accuracy, completeness and timeliness
- Project delivery metrics (stated objectives realized, on budget / on time)
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development or Labor Relations or equivalent qualification/experience
- At least 8 or above years of HR experience in Talent Acquisition and related operations
- Deep knowledge and experience in the Talent Acquisition space, with broader HR interests
- Strong and previous experience in Project Planning and Stakeholder Management
- Track record using enhanced sourcing/selection/assessment techniques to proactively pipeline talent
- Work experience supporting multiple client groups
- Able to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Proven needs assessment and gap analysis skills
- Successful track record in the development and deployment of HR processes or programs
- Experience working in cross-boundary and cross-cultural team environments
- Proficient in verbal and written Mandarin Chinese and English is a must
