Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Software development experience coding in Java/Kotlin and relevant work experience.
• Ability to speak and write in English fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

• 5 years of experience of Android development.
• 2 years of experience in android system UI or components in Android framework.
• Experienced in designing scalable systems.
• Familiar with payments technologies.
• Familiar with NFC.

You will join a team building next Fitbit’s next generation of NFC and Payments solutions. We support making payments with Fitbit devices using NFC across the globe. On this team, you will work with other developers and partners globally expanding the reach of this technology.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain and enhance the Fitbit Android application to enable a premium wearable experience.
• Create reusable components with elegant, intuitive API interfaces.
• Work with product managers, UI/UX designers, backend and frontend developers in order to create beautiful mobile user experiences.
• Mentor and train other team members on design techniques, and coding standards.
