We are hiring Senior Software Engineer – Compiler Expert in Taiwan. There are openings in both Taipei and Hsinchu office.

Job Description

• We are seeking a highly-motivated and detail-oriented senior software engineer with expertise in compilers to join our company. The role will be focused on verifying products that are based on innovative verification techniques that came from years of research at Stanford University and we are expanding and moving them into an industrial use. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a compiler (on top of LLVM and GCC) that is used to generate tests for HW verification and validation. The individual will also work with customers to integrate the tool in their verification flow
  

Key Responsibilities

• The responsibilities will be tailored to the candidate’s skills and expertise and will include several of the following, but not be limited to:
• Modifying LLVM and/or GCC and building a compiler with a particular kind of output
• Writing testplans and maintaining them
• Creating the verification environment for testing the new compiler for different ISAs such as RISC-V, ARM, etc.
• Innovating new features and techniques for our verification solutions
  

Minimum Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in EE/CS or equivalent degree
• 4+ (with BS) or 3+ (with MS/PhD) years of experience in SW engineering and verification
• Strong background in compiler technology
• Demonstrable experience writing code in LLVM and/or GCC environments and tools
• Expert Linux user with experience in at least one programming language like C, C++ or Java and one scripting language for setting up verification process automation including regressions
• Good knowledge and experience with SW verification tools and concepts
• Familiarity with some ISAs (instruction set architecture) such as RISC-V, ARM, x86
• Experience with revision control methodology/systems such as Perforce or GIT
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and at various levels of abstraction
• Strong communication, inter-personal and teamwork skills
• Strong desire to learn various skills needed in a start-up environment
• Ability to work effectively with both internal and external teams/customers
  

Preferred Skills

• Some experience in post-Si validation/debug
• Experience with using cloud computing platforms such as AWS or GCP
