Senior Process Engineer

Design and Develop :

• Provide Process Engineering and Technical leadership for capital projects with high visibility opportunities to work on a regional level in Asia (Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore and China)
• Develop training materials for Operations technicians. Participate in the technician qualification process by providing classroom instruction on basic principles, troubleshooting and process specifics.
• Develop practical solutions to complex technical problems
• Provide process engineering expertise across various product lines and sites

Problem Solving and improvement :

• Troubleshoot problems in manufacturing processes
• Improve the safety of existing manufacturing installations
• Identify and implement methods for manufacturing cost reduction in line with business needs
  

Project Management :

• Actively engage with the project manager to ensure projects are on time, on budget, deliver the required quality
• Make quantitative, fact-based decisions
• Document and communicate institutional knowledge throughout the organization

Education & Experience :

• BS or MS in Chemical Engineering
• 8 + years of experience designing, commissioning and starting up chemical plants, performing hands-on optimization of specialty chemicals/gas production units
  

Requirements :

• Strong understanding of Chemical Engineering, process design related skills.
• Problem solving logically and decision making capability.
• Solution/outcome oriented with safe and reliable
• Self-disciplined and self-driven person, with high adaptability, stress resistance, and willingness to take the initiative to change and continuous improvement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese
• Demonstrated project planning/management expertise and presentation skills
• Cost/benefit analysis, including DCF analysis
• Development and use of metrics for performance management
• Knowledge of PLC, DCS control systems, and process safety(such as hazard analysis, Hazop, LOPA)
• Able to travel to domestic and overseas sites
  

Preferred :

• Working knowledge of ASME and CGA codes, or other related regulation in fire, building and electrical codes(in Korea, Taiwan, China, Japan and Singapore)
• Experience working with highly hazardous chemicals at a manufacturing facility
• Expertise in various unit operations, and associated equipment (i.e. distillation, filtration, reaction)
• Six-Sigma green or black belt certification or the equivalent knowledge and experience

Additional Plus :

• Ability to speak in Korean, Japanese is a plus.
