SDE-2 (Core Services)

We’re looking for a Senior Engineer to help us build the tools, services, and applications that will enable us to be the planet’s most patient-focused pharmacy. You will work on projects ranging from greenfield initiatives to matured products with a large active user base.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement products using event driven microservices architecture on AWS.
• Interact with Product Managers, Software Development Managers and key stake-holders on a regular basis to understand and execute Product vision.
• Take charge of end-to-end feature development and documentation, right from proof-of-concept to production deployment and support
• Brainstorm and lead continuous improvement projects for product
• Mentoring team on strong coding and design standards.
• Setting the bar high for development practices while striking the right balance between pragmatism and perfection for code and processes.
  

You May Be Fit For This Role If You

• Think about systems and write high quality code. We work mostly in Kotlin and Typescript. However, languages can be learned: we care much more about your general engineering skill than knowledge of a particular language or framework.
• Have solid grasp on building HTTP REST APIs on top different types of databases and systems
• Love clean code, Test Driven Development, CI/CD and other extreme programming practices
• Understand cloud native philosophy and has experience with any public cloud
• Enjoy guiding teams and mentor junior developers
  

You Will Work On

We don’t expect anybody to be an expert on all of these, but you should be deeply familiar with some, and a self-starting learner who isn’t afraid to ask for help:

• Develop service and APIs using Kotlin, Micronaut, Node, Serverless
• AWS, Lambda, API Gateway, Amplify, Okta, Aurora Serverless RDS
• Github, Github Actions, SonarCloud
• Terraform to manage infra
• Cloudwatch, AWS X-Ray, PagerDuty to monitor the infra

What You Will Need

• 4+ years of experience mainly on designing API based systems in any of the relevant languages (Java, Kotlin, Javascript, etc.)
