Summary: The Mechanical Engineer will lead and participate in the conceptualization, development, and maintenance of commercial and/or industrial Couplings/Fittings/valve products. Work location is in South Taiwan.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To strategize, develop and oversee plans of the R&D team to ensure projects complete successfully in accordance with the strategic plan and innovation roadmaps.
• Lead and set project priorities, oversee the R&D resource allocation and ensure projects operate effectively and efficiently.
• To explore new technologies and approaches, access the feasibilities of innovations and keeping up-to-date with the current market trend.
• As the pivot of Shurjoint innovation, the candidate works closely with product management, production, and external vendors to drive and execute Shurjoint innovation roadmap.
• Complete engineering change requests including research of proposed changes and modifications to existing designs.
• Perform fatigue and other life cycle testing as necessary to validate new designs.
• Create and maintain technical design files.
• Develop new product designs through the use of 3D CAD software.
• Create test reports, assembly procedures and installation manuals as required for new and existing product designs.
• Create new bills of material and assist with routings.
• Provide technical product support to internal staff members (in-country technical engineering, product management, inside sales, etc.) as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements:

· Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or

Manufacturing Engineering Technology.

· Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office suit.

· Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Proficient in English communicating

with stakeholders worldwide.

· Solid experience in project management
