Ring is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer who is familiar with the design validation process and reliability testing. You should understand product requirements documents, test strategies, and be capable of deploying a complete system level product test plan. You will setup and conduct tests, as well as coordinate with Contract Manufacturers to make sure the test fixtures, equipment, and test coverage of the plan are properly conducted and addressed. You will play an important role in monitoring Contract Manufacturer’s test progress and will work closely to track and follow up with any design validation issues.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related Engineering degree.
• Strong understanding of reliability test standards, as well as hands-on test experience.
• 8+ years of experience in Design Quality Assurance role of IP cameras, mobile phones, or other consumer electronic products.
• Strong understanding of the test methodology of IP cameras and wifi, power, thermal, acoustic, waterproof, and reliability testing with hands-on experience building and conducting test cases.
• Experience working with overseas CM/OEM/ODM vendors in the QA test category.
• Understanding and familiarity with IPx5 and IPx6.
• Understanding of both prediction and demonstration MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures).
• Fair oral and written communication skills in English.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous lab work experience.
• CRE certification.
• Ability to interact at all levels within the organization.
• Understanding of SPC GR&R /FMEA/lean, and practical experience on Six Sigma.
• Six Sigma Green or Black belt certificate.
• Ability to travel (once appropriate and in compliance).
