Essential Responsibilities

• Source Change Management & Qualification - Review and approve supplier’s manufacturing processes, inspection methods and quality control and its assurance systems. Work closely with GE Headquarters, Design Activities throughout the globe and peers onsite at suppliers or within the Asia Region. Drive AS13100 deployment and compliance at suppliers to meet Sourcing Quality Specifications.
• Ensure the Purchase Orders, Engineering Drawings, and Specifications are compliantly executed to the GE Aviation’s Quality Standards - Review and approve the hardware’s first article & substantiation packages representing GE Aviation’s Sourcing Quality authority.
• Escape Management - Lead & own quality investigation at suppliers, root cause analysis and prevention, including to drive the Quality Improvement Plan.
• Quality Assurance - Perform Frequent workstation and manufacturing process audits & assessments
• Consistently monitor the Production Quality. Report and resolve noncompliance during frequent Gemba walk.
• Review and supervise supplier’s proper documentation and bounding activities pertaining to nonconformance.
• Ensure the corrective actions are valid & logical. Verify the effectiveness and validate of corrective actions. Institute the preventative measures at the supplier’s manufacturing and systemic processes.
• Lead suppliers to improve quality performance and hold them accountable for their own performance.
• Own and reflect timely on supplier performance through supplier ratings system.
• Proactively provide training and coaching to suppliers when required. Ensure GE Aviation Sourcing Quality Requirement are understood and compliantly executed.
• Execute proactive quality system assessment at the Prime and Sub-tier suppliers.
• Work collaboratively with other sourcing cross functional teams to drive clarity and effective communication plans.
• Operate independently based on set priorities and comply to standard work established for this role.
  

Qualifications/Requirements

• Mechanical Engineering with min 5 years of working experience in complex product manufacturing Industry , Functional experience in Supplier quality management.
• Full or partial aviation industry work experience is preferable.
• Shall have knowledge and experience in AS9100 , AS13100, AS9145 , NADCAP and other Special Processes.
• Shall have hands on experience of First Article approvals manufacturing complex products of aerospace.
• Shall have solid experience involve material, manufacturing process, inspection technique, & special processes. Able to demonstrate professional insight to machining, fabrication, & metal removal technology
• Shall be familiar with industry’s Quality philosophy, Total Quality Management, and Supply Chain Quality Management principles. Demonstrate the motivation of learning and leveraging best practices from other sectors of industry in addition to aviation.
• Shop floor experience is a must.
• Detail oriented working style and clear thinker.
• Demonstrate communication skill to various stakeholders of the company. Able to perform task independently and cross-functionally with global teams.
• Demonstrate the ability to analyze problems, provide a workable solution, execute to the plan, modify appropriately based on feedback and lead the project execution until final closure.
