Job Description

As a Data Engineer Intern at Micron Technology Inc., you will join the Technology Solutions group within the Smart Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence organization! The Data Engineering team works closely with Micron’s business functions (Domain expert, Data Scientist...etc.) in all aspects of semiconductor data. This role will work primarily with Big Data technologies like Cloud data warehouse using Google Cloud Platform and Snowflake, using ETL skills to build data lake, data warehouse, data mart, and APIs, as well as data monitoring and data governance. You will work on data engineering features that support business projects and collaboration with internal Micron team members.

Content/Project of internship

• (10%) Realize Micron Culture and Big Data Team related jobs.
• (30%) Finish the required technical training for assigned development tasks.
• (30%) Based on the business needs to finish at least one data engineering requirement.
• (30%) Completed the final report and presentation.
  
  

Requirement

• Currently pursuing a master’s or equivalent experience in computer science, data science, information engineering, information management, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Strong interest in data engineering and a desire to learn and grow in this field.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Java, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with SQL databases.
• Experience with Linux and VCS like Git.
• Ability to translate project and user requirements into technical requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Enthusiasm for working in the manufacturing industry and learning from senior data engineers throughout the summer.
• Some knowledge of data warehousing and ETL concepts is a plus.
