We are looking for a Help Desk Specialist (Network & Infrastructure Engineer) to focus on the lab equipment management and operation. Co-work with engineers for client’s next generation of Server Lab support.

Responsibilities

  • Network administrators are responsible for making sure that computer hardware and network infrastructure related to an organization’s data network are effectively maintained.
  • Support the setup, configuring, documenting, and maintaining virtual machine environments
  • Build and maintain scripts and tools to automate the configuration and usability of the lab.
  • Provide support in troubleshooting lab and network outages and issues
  • Address lab users Helpdesk tickets in a timely matter as per Service Level Agreements.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum BS in Electrical or Mechanical or Computer or other engineering field.
  • 3+ years of experience on HW lab management.
  • Network Monitoring and Analysis, network test equipment.
  • Installation and maintenance of network cabling and switches.
  • Knowledge of firewalls, complex networks, routing.
  • Knowledge of and experience with a Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) and Virtual Private Network (VPN)
  • A working knowledge of Linux or virtual machine technology (VMware and Hyper-V, XEN or KVM) as well as operations tools such as SCCM
  • Understanding of IP networking basics: L2, L3, L4, L7
  • Experience with any of the following is a plus: Knowledge of networking products such as routers, switches (Opengear, Arista, Palo Alto Networks), firewalls and NFS storage (NetApp, Tegile)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CompTIA Network+
  • First or Medium Level CCNA/CCNP R&S Certificate

Nice To Have:

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
