Purpose of job

Apply broad knowledge across functional area and/or unit. Has a deep knowledge base and technical/business understanding.

Key Activities

• Under general supervision, monitor and evaluate the organization’s overall EHS performance to identify recurring problems and recommend changes to technology, equipment, systems or processes that will improve the organization’s EHS performance.
• Keep the environmental regulations up to date, so the organization’s EHS policies remain current and relevant.
• Work proactively with EHS to prevent accident and/or environmental issues in the organization/production area/unit.
  
  

Key Qualifications:

• Occupational health&safety management specialist (Grade B - must have)
• Occupational health or safety management specialist (Grade A - preferred)
• Safety & Health internal auditor certification and experience.
  
  

Critical knowledge and experience

Industry, market and business environment -

• Experience in driving well-defined processes within Environment, Health and Safety.
• Ability to lead minor processes or projects. -
• Ability to lead a well-defined business process within Environment, Health and Safety. -
  
  

Most likely to have 3-5 years of relevant work experience before entering level besides formal education.

Technical, functional and professional

• Ability influence others and follow processes.
• Some experience supporting key business initiatives
• Knowledge of best practice and relevant practices, systems in Environment, Health and Safety.
