Position Summary

, Responsibilities and Expectations:

• General accounting tasks and accounting related duties.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, research and take actions on discrepancies.
• Assist month-end closing including prepare periodic reconciliation report with line manager.
• Experience with reconciliation of balance sheet accounts of average complexity.
• Collaborating with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial information.
• Performing audits on financial data to assure its accuracy and truthfulness.
• Ensuring that financial information complies with professional and regulatory standards.
• Aligning general ledger accounting practices to support budgeting and forecasting.
• Entering financial data such as accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and interdepartmental entries into the ledger on a monthly basis, as well as preparing reports.
• Performing account analysis to ensure that journal entries and balances are correct.
• Gathering supporting documentation and performing record-keeping.
• Keeping abreast of regulatory requirements and best practices in accounting for continuously improvements.
  

Essential

Skills And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in accounting.
• Ability to adapt quickly, learn new tasks independently and manage competing priorities.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting firm, preferably Big-4.
• 3-5 years of experience working in Accounting field.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills bilingual in English.
• GL accounting background preferable.
• Strong understanding of accounting processes, procedures and internal controls.
• Strong excel spreadsheet and database skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage competing deadlines.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• ERP knowledge desirable, preferably in Oracle.
• Manufacturing and consumer goods industry experience.
• Ability to generate bold, creative ideas to improve performance.
