Field Application Engineer - FIB/SEM

• Develop new applications and/or maintain existing applications to automate small and wafer dual beam microscope functionality for semiconductor customers.
• Support the market division by assisting with the Customer Acceptance Tests (CAT), and initiation/stabilization phases of tool installs at customer sites.
• Ensure efficient utilization of appropriate products, and services within the Customers’ manufacturing processes and applications
• Conduct customer support and training and translate customer needs into workable solutions. Guide the customer in writing production recipes and qualification experiments to drive the production use of TFS’s tools.
• Cultivating positive customer relationships and acting as a high-level customer interface for specific instrument/applications issues, explaining complex technology details, giving in depth technical presentations, and assisting in applications development.
• Provide support for pre-sales customer sample tests demonstrating product performance and value proposition
• Provide continuous feedback to the vertical marketing team on application solutions in specific industry area, understanding the stories behind customers’ requirement
• Support product groups on system performance, features, and potential problems while collaborating with marketing/development groups on future product developments.
  

• 2 or more years’ experience in a relevant commercial/research establishment.
• Knowledge and recent hands-on experience with DB/SEM system is required.
• Knowledge of advanced technology diagnostics as well as fault finding techniques, operational optimization, and experience of analytical equipment in semiconductor industry
• Excellent, enthusiastic, clear communication skills, both written and verbal for a diverse audience is crucial to success in this role.
• Excellent customer interfacing skills.
• Proven ability to interact with cross - functional and cross - cultural teams
• Ability to travel both domestically internationally up to 25%; possession of a valid passport.
  

• Typically requires MS degree, higher is preferred, in Materials Science, Chemistry and or Physics with strong post academic background demonstrating expertise in critical microscopy application areas, familiar with some specific industries area is preferred
