Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Purpose Of The Position

Aligned with plant manufacturing strategy, lead to improve equipment maintenance capability, operation readiness. Equipment leader is required to leading a maintenance/equipment team in charge of improving TAU/TLU, total preventive maintenance, equipment spare system, cost reduction and people training & development.

Day To Day Responsibilities

• Lead Equipment Engineering and maintenance operation to support plant operating objectives in safety awareness, improvement of TAU/TLU, production readiness and continuous cost reduction.
• Outsourcing equipment & contract manufacturing strategy.
• Ensure automation project deployment with global standard and working with process team to optimize through Division Engineering level to regional lateral deployment.
• Ensure shift maintenance well-trained on new standards via technological transferring to manufacturing and cycling back opportunity while time-to-time deployment per operational sustainability.
• Ensure change management rigor to ensure critical spare, equipment parameter management and unit cost reduction.
• Optimize equipment cycle time and preventative maintenance plan.
• Leadership in preventative maintenance and critical MTTF system establishment.
• People training and maintenance shop development plan.
• Visibly support operation and maintenance of a safe work environment.
  

Education & Experience

• Automation/Electrical Engineering Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Above 5-year experience in leading Equipment engineering or Maintenance team
• Above 2~3 year experience in preventative maintenance and MTTF management
• Outsourcing equipment management or contract manufacturing management experience
• Familiar with material handling mechanic, PLC control and Robot
  

Required Skills

• Organization management skills.
• Plant / Fabrication Maintenance experience and collaboration with Divisional equipment project deployment.
• Equipment development integrated with mechanical handling, PLC control and Robot.
• Preventive maintenance experience as MUST and DMAIC is plus.
• Good problems solving and analytical capabilities (particularly statistical analysis).
• Excellent communications, interpersonal and influencing skills.
• High initiative, able to work with a minimum of direction, and able to work in team environment.
• Engineering degree, in Industrial, Electrical, Automation Control and Mechanical Engineering
• Bilingual English / Mandarin.
• TOEIC 550 and above.
