• Experience in the sustainability field, especially in carbon accounting/footprinting, standards development, or Net Zero strategy.
• Ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels including executive leadership team, peers, managers, and external partners.
• Ability to work with stakeholders from different time zones especially with crossover for PDT/PST working hours.
• Ability to inspire trust by demonstrating good judgment and integrity, with excellent people management skills.
• Ability to execute through program management, and identify, track metrics of success.

About the jobAs an Engagement Program Manager, you will lead the design and implementation of sustainability solutions and programs with a cross-functional team of matrixed business and sustainability experts. You will help grow, scale, and run the net zero supplier engagement programs and culture across Google’s DSPA organization. We intend to increase the sustainability of our products, operations, and communities and take an industry leadership position in this space.

Reporting to a Sustainability Strategy Program Manager for Google’s Consumer Hardware organization, you will be in a transformation role that requires a combination of focus and flexibility, as well as willingness to contribute at both strategic and an execution level. You will drive transformation and cultural shifts to integrate net zero carbon initiatives across all functions and supply chain partners. You’ll have a wide scope and set of responsibilities for strategy creation, capability development, process/tool incubation (targeted execution) and change management to support full integration of net zero into the supply chain.

You are also an exceptional communicator who builds strong relationships and collaborates naturally across functions. You are an agile and creative problem solver who gets complex things done and drives organization-wide impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier engagement programs in support of net zero targets in partnership with cross-functional business owners. Develop tools, processes, or other capabilities to support execution and transition responsibility to business.
• Ensure data needed for both overall supply chain energy evaluations and Devices and Services Product Area (DSPA)-specific emission calculations are provided and are accurate.
• Create and manage a roadmap to transform and improve the organization’s performance to selected success metrics, and drive partners and cross-functional teams to these goals through influence and collaboration.
• Create ongoing communications to amplify the organization’s net zero efforts to represent our work to ongoing internal and external audiences.
• Participate in cross Product Area net zero supplier engagement working groups/forums on behalf of DSPA.
