Job Description

The Consumer Solutions, Technology, Software and Services organization is looking for a self-driven Linux software engineer for the device platform team in Chubei, Hsinchu..

As An Embedded Linux Systems Software Development Engineer

• You need to be self-motivated, hands on in developing high quality, well thought-out software and drivers to support functions or components that are needed for the device platform.
• You will be responsible to design and architect software with maintainability, security, testability, automatability and flexibility in mind.
• You will need to have good communication and team-working skills.
• You will need to have a genuine passion to learn continually.
• A Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Responsible for developing device management services via REST APIs
• Responsible for developing backend software for device management services
• Implement various drivers, system daemons and software for Linux-based storage device.
• Port, modify drivers for specific functions
• Deliver on time with high quality code following best practices
• Incorporate unit tests and integrations tests as part of the development
• Create design document based on requirements
• Conduct design and code reviews
• Optimize and tune performance, stability, reliability of the system
  

Qualifications

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years of experience in developing embedded Linux system software
• Proficient in Golang, C and C++ programming languages
• Experience in defining REST APIs and developing backend software for storage device
• Experience in delivering robust, high-performance and secure software
• Strong computer science fundamentals such as operating systems, multi-threading, inter process communication (IPC), networking etc.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in developing software that take security, analytics and automation testing into consideration
