The Role

Working as a Business Planner (NPI) based in Zhubei, you will:

• Business planner for supporting new product introduction and sample requests. Understand project requirements for customer samples and materials for engineering use. Responsible for on time delivery of masks, wafers, parts and samples. Provide forecasts to subcontractors to ensure that all required raw materials for engineering prototypes are available.
• Be an active member of each product’s core team. Work closely with each project’s Program Manager to coordinate activities and scheduling. Provide realistic expectations on schedules of deliverables and give updates as needed.
• Issue work orders and purchase orders for masks, wafers, expedite fees, assembly, test, shipping and other services. Request new manufacturing specs as needed.
• Monitor engineering WIP to ensure on-time completion. Continuously review inventory to identify and then scrap obsolete material in order to prevent accidental misuse.
• Fulfil all requests for samples of both new products and products already in mass production. Produce parts as needed if they are not available in inventory.
• Ensure that the initial production ramp satisfies customer requirements by coordinating activities with the business planners that are handling mass production. Convert engineering WIP to cover production shipments as needed to cover the backlog.
• Support execution of engineering experiments for yield improvement, tool quals, second source quals and new subcontractors.
• Support integration into One Renesas ERP system.

What We Are Looking For?

• Essential: Intermediate vocational level in supply chain or engineering with 3 years of relevant work experience
• Desirable: Minimal Bachelor degree, SAP experience is a plus, proficiency in Excel
• Engineer, Technician or specialist with related commercial and technical education
• 3 years’ experience with technical and commercial responsibility, preferable in the semiconductor related industry
• Knowledge of production flows in the semiconductor- or related electronics industry.
• Background in Production Planning & Control related functions would be an asset.
• Good analytical skills
• Must be able to work under stressful conditions
• Fluent English, verbal and in writing.
