Assistant Country Manager - Japan (Based in Taiwan)

Responsibility

• Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to drive business growth and brand awareness in Japan.
• Manage all aspects of the company’s operations in Japan, including sales, marketing, and business development.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, dealers, restaurants, influencers and partners in the Japanese market.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market reach in Japan.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
• Monitor sales performance and implement measures to achieve sales targets and revenue objectives.
• Work with the global marketing team to execute sales and marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, and traditional media.
• Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, trade shows, and conferences to promote brand awareness and network with potential partners.
• Provide regular reports, updates, and recommendations to the global marketing team.
• Assist the Japanese/ English translation and localization of marketing materials, ensuring brand consistency and cultural appropriateness.

Qualifications

• Japanese native speaker; proficient in English, with the ability to effectively communicate with international teams and stakeholders.
• Proven work experience in sales or marketing, preferably in the wine industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or wine-related major.
• Certification from wine educational organizations (EX: WSET L2)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meets).

• Basic understanding of Chinese is preferred.
