Description

The Application Manager for Productivity Software role is an integral member of the Information & Communications Technology Services Team taking technical ownership of our productivity software.

In cooperation with Business Owners, the Application Manager for Productivity Software will be responsible for collecting user and business requirements and the planning and proposing of technical solutions. With IT architects and developers, the Application Manager for Productivity Software is responsible for reviewing, implementing, and deploying solutions. This position will work closely with business departments to support a variety of business activities.s departments to support a variety of business activities.

Responsibilities

  • Management of the productivity software solutions such as Microsoft 365, SharePoint 365, Contract Management, Time Tracking, and HR applications
  • Work with the IT and business leadership team to develop roadmaps, strategies and governance models for productivity software in the ecosystem of other enterprise applications
  • Help to ensure the smooth operation of the company’s business-critical applications in close cooperation with suppliers and users
  • Plan and implement releases and further developments
  • Including planning and coordination for the provision of the corresponding infrastructure
  • Identification of system enhancement opportunities and compilation of solution concepts and their implementation
  • Configuration of the application landscape respectively coordination of application changes with external service partners
  • Management of projects relating to productivity software solutions implementation and improvements covering user requirements, development schedules as well as testing and delivery of the solutions to the end-users
  • Take ownership of management and operation of large-scale productivity software solutions in accordance with the IT service framework (ITIL)
  • Work with engineers to investigate and troubleshoot productivity software solutions to continuously improve the application
  • Maintain close dialogue with various stakeholders within the IT organisation and business lines
  • Provide training, second and third (vendor) level support and expertise to internal stakeholders

Requirements

  • Higher degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology or Business with IT focus
  • Experience in managing global on-premise and cloud setups, services and implementation projects for productivity software solutions
  • In-depth understanding of scope and functionality of the Microsoft 365 Suite and other possible productivity software such as a time-tracking or contract management
  • Experience in software product management, project management, software engineering or software testing
  • Experience working with agile methodologies and ITIL
  • Knowledge in one or more of the following areas is advantageous: medical device quality systems (i.e., ISO13485, GMP, FDA CFR21), computer systems validation (CSV) for GxP systems
  • Systematic, business-oriented approach, receptiveness to new technologies, and good communication skills
  • High degree of cultural awareness as well as commitment, drive, and a keen sense of responsibility
  • Comfortable in interacting with various stakeholders remotely and globally within the company
  • Strong documentation and presentation skills
  • Very strong English and Chinese, other languages are an asset
