GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To manage, direct and coach the task force and resources of R&D innovation lab to support the financial objectives of new product promotion, including Copper, Tin-Silver,Nickel, and other emerging plating solution in the field of Semiconductor.

STRATEGIC FOCUS:

The strategic focus of this position is to manage the Innovation lab and to ensure the proper application technologies developed for derivative, new and emerging products in order to support the growth of the business in a profitable manner.

INTERNAL BOUNDARIES:

This position may interact across all functions of the organization. Primary internal customers include Marketing, Tech Service, Local Commercial Head, and Senior Management.

EXTERNAL BOUNDARIES:

The primary external customers include Customers and Tool/Equipment/metrology Vendor of Wafer Fabrication and Metallization Manufacturers, ITRI, certain universities/third parties, and select suppliers.

• Ability to independently work in a research area without direct supervision given a well-defined set of research goals
• Ability to build camaraderie, trust, and a sense of team spirit among the team is preferred.
• Self-starter. Strong initiative. Performs duties with positive enthusiasm. Driven to achieve agreed upon objectives, in time frame identified.
• Strong work ethic. Willing to commit necessary time to achieve objectives. Flexible to work early mornings, late nights, or weekends as dictated by the workload and opportunity.
