As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You’re equally at home explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

The Pixel Test Engineering team is responsible for developing tests, automations, infrastructure, and processes to effectively and efficiently validate Google’s security and privacy IPs, features, and the overall product stability on the Pixel family products at scale.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing engineering projects or programs to support the development of the platform and a suite of cloud-based applications used by Pixel developer, test engineers, carrier account managers, product managers, and other program managers. You will work with multiple Pixel development teams and Android security teams across different regional offices on the overall testing and quality strategic alignment to deliver the best Pixel products.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world’s most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities

  • Manage technical projects or programs, working closely with Google engineers and technical staff to develop and track release milestones and schedules.
  • Collaborate with partner teams and anticipate user needs before they arise.
  • Be responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on the user experience and tailoring our solutions to our users. Build a Community of loyal users who love and use our products.
  • Liaise on technical and data analysis of issues. Recommend a way forward, representing the team in cross-functional and leadership forums.
  • Develop tools and processes to improve software engineering productivity and own technical relationships with partners.
