Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience of FPC, PCBA/FPCA manufacturing or design.
  • Ability to speak and write in English and Chinese fluently.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience of using Statistics tools for Data analysis (e.g., distribution histogram/pareto chart, process control chart, Design of Experiment (DOE), Correlation Analysis, etc.).
  • Knowledge in Bending/punching tooling design and engineering knowledge in FPC/FPCA process.
  • Knowledge with FPC, PCB, PCBA related IPC quality standard and ability to set-up cosmetic criteria.
  • Ability to work with vendors to suffice 2D/3D Drawing requirements, standardize process flow, critical process parameters, and tooling designs.
  • Ability to develop new process/material application.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you evaluate the product designs and create the processes, tools and procedures behind Google’s powerful search technology. When vendors build parts for our infrastructure, you’re right there alongside ensuring manufacturing processes are repeatable and controlled. You collaborate with Commodity Managers and Design Engineers to determine Google’s infrastructure needs and product specifications. Responsibilities

  • Drive cross-functional activities in the supply chain for overall technical operational readiness in all new product introduction (NPI) phases leading into mass production.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and Engineering teams in assessing process technologies based on project requirements, and propose and develop manufacturing blueprint.
  • Drive project technical and operational issues (e.g., material, process, fixtures, equipment etc.), during NPI phase to enable delivery of a mature product and manufacturing process into mass production.
  • Lead suppliers by providing technical direction to establish and validate process capability during NPI phase for consistently delivering quality products in mass production.
  • Utilize DOE (Design of Experiment), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis), and other Industry standard tools to identify and address risks and optimize process parameters.
