Working as a core member of our Energy Services team, the Subsea Engineer will work on a diverse range of cable laying projects. This will involve analysing the design and placement of umbilical, risers, pipelines and other structures for our clients in the Oil & Gas and Renewable sectors.

What you will be doing.

• Manage Marine Warranty Services projects, including review of project engineering documents, schedules, planning of surveyors and site attendances, monitoring project operations and ensuring the issuing of Certificate of Approval (COA) on site.
• Undertake and collaborate on concept and detailed design analysis and calculations of various Oil & Gas or Renewable subsea projects.
• Support the review of Subsea engineering documents on Cable, Umbilical, Risers, Pipelines, Weld-head platforms, Jackets and Pin Piles projects.
• Assist and lead projects to accomplish the overall delivery of optimum solutions to customers within the timeframe, costs and quality standards established by the client.
• Support the General Manager as required in the day-to-day management of tasks such as scheduling, and controlling site works, reacting to emergencies, coordinating unscheduled maintenance, responding to network outages, site issues, faults, and failures.
• Contribute to business development activities such as writing proposals.
• Maintain responsibility for engineering integrity, prepare working forecasts, identify change management plans, and corrective action as well as real time schedules.
  
  

The role is based in Taiwan and the incumbent must have the right to work and reside in Taiwan. Offshore attendance and travelling to client sites will be occasionally required.

What we are looking for.

Ideally, we are looking for a Subsea Engineer who has experience working on cable or pipe laying projects in either the O&G or Renewable sectors. We would also like to hear from candidates who have worked on communication cable engineering projects. More specifically, we are looking for the following:

• Educated to degree level in Subsea Engineering or an equivalent subject.
• 7+ years experience working with offshore fixed and mobile structures and / or offshore renewables projects.
• Knowledge of industry standards and codes and the ability to apply standards to subsea analysis & designs.
• Knowledge of subsea engineering analysis and design computer programs.
• Geotech and Geophysics knowledge would beneficial.
