Position Overview

The AWS Strategic programs team is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, data-driven, entrepreneurial Business Development Specialist with a passion for educations and innovation ecosystems development. The ideal candidate will be versatile, an exemplary team player, and willing/ able to create order out of ambiguity. She or he will bring relevant experience, superior judgment, great follow-through, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

The role will be responsible for organizing and “orchestrating” activities across HKT academia institutions to keep us moving toward our goals and meeting interim benchmarks. She or he will need to work extensively across the team, especially the Marketing, Training and Business Development teams to capture key activities and ensure that their efforts are properly synchronized. Additionally, the role will often need to interface with other AWS departments.

The successful candidate will thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. The role will work with key members on our team, across the AWS organization, and directly with educators and students, as appropriate.

• Develop and manage the AWS Education programs for HKT
• Support AWS Innovation Ecosystems development
• Dive deep into available data to understand successes and weaknesses and share with team members to improve results
• Support team members as they need to access resources from across AWS
• Work with global teams to attain global best practice to try to localize the resources to local customers
• Develop project plans and timelines, and manage resources to meet program objectives
• Collaborate with marketing team to ensure campaigns are executed and customer presentations and sales enablement materials are developed
• Support/lead the development of important presentations to management or external customers / partners
• Other duties as assigned may include special project management, proposal writing, and data retrieval/management/reporting
• Good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
• Ability to travel in support of team efforts
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• Experience developing programmatic reports and metric management and data analytic experience
• Demonstrated understanding of cloud computing landscape and AWS

• Experience in tech sector
• Passion for education
• Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role
